And Christian Albrechtsen has it in spades. the ocean as mother, lover, destroyer,and most clearly on his debut album: metaphor. Growing up in the port city of Copenhagen, Christian has written a tale of fearless welcome for the powers of the sea. Make no mistake: these are no sea-shanties, but fantastic songs intricately woven with layers of bjork-inspired vocals, electronic percussion, bells, synthesizers, and spanish folk-inspired instrumentation. this album of 10 songs push and pull like tide, with swells, stills and storms. For fans of Björk, Müm, Jonsi.
